+ Cooking out back

I got a new camera! Student loans helped fund a new camera so I will be able to take quality photographs of my projects and build a good website for my blossoming design career.  In the meantime I tested out the manual settings last night while we had a big salad and stuffed zucchini on the grill with a fire crackling in the background. And of course, we have to get a picture of Otis in there.

we've moved across town into a beautiful house and we are looking forward to all the little projects that come with this big change. painting, gardening, making it our own. after moving almost every year since i was 17, from small apt to small apt, it feels so good to settle down a little into a spot we can call our own. these are some photos from the first week of moving things in and having our first dinner with friends out on the front porch.
