leaving is always bittersweet. your neighbors by the end of the week are like old friends. but hopefully everyone who attended this year brought back their lively spirit with them and left happier and dustier than ever.

Griffen and the Greywater

to properly eliminate grey water from doing dishes, brushing your teeth etc. we laid out black trashbags (to attract heat from the sun) and cut our water containers in half as we drank our supply creating shallow evaporating trays. the small amount that is left at the end for us this year was 1 gallon. we then recycled the empty trays and bags. this way worked well for us because we used things we were already going to recycle as a means to reduce water waste. this system required little supplies and cost no money (aside from the cost of the actual water that we drank)
