For this project I used unintentional quotes from Jenny Holzer Interviews, things she nonchalantly voiced while talking about her life and her artwork. Her years of experience lend a hand to perhaps her own “truisms” that were hung not on time square or government buildings but in the humble Clayton neighborhood of Denver. Peaking behind an overgrown and forgotten garden or the face of a closed storefront, these messages will reach the people walking by who happen catch them; ordinary people on their commute or walking the dog in a neighborhood that needs a little inspiration they might be able to relate too.
