+ stool fabrication project

it all started with an idea to use old metal and found pieces for a unique stool. A friend of mine let me dig through piles of scrap metal until i found some 1" square tubing and a big gear for the seat. The steam punk vision was already underway. Here is the chronological process of my chair from rusted tubing to its current appropriation on my back patio. this is my first solo welding project and although it didn't turn out exactly how i planned, I learned alot about the importance of measuring, and writing out a step by step process to keep me from getting a little mixed up. it feels good to create a finished piece i can use and will have around for years to come.
